Blue Diamonds are one of the rarest gemstones on Earth. When the one you are looking at is a cushion cut Fancy Vivid Blue, Internally Flawless Diamond of 12 carats, you can be sure, it is a one of a kind diamond!

Why is this diamond called the Blue Moon?
This blue diamond exhibits a very unique phenomenon, red phosphorescence, when observed under Ultra Violet light (as seen below). This phenomenon was observed for the first time ever in diamonds, in this diamond. & that is why it is called the Blue Moon Diamond. Below is a photo of the diamond as seen in UV light.

The value of this diamond is estimated at $55 Million USD (approx. INR 385 crores!) by Sotheby's!
