Mandolin Maestro U. Srinivas Passed Away

Mandolin Srinivas, that is how U. Srinivas was known, for his expertise in playing the Indian classical Mandolin.
He made his debut at the young of of 9, in the year 1978 & in the next 40 years, he toured the world & collaborated with some of the biggest names in the international music world!
At the age of 29, he was awarded the prestigious, Padam Shri by the Government of India.
He died at a young age of 45 years only, on September 19, 2014.

In these 45 years, he won many accolades for his music, including Sangeet Ratna, Sanatan Sangeet Puraskar, Asthana Award, National Citizen's Award & many many more!
