Magnificent Diamond Brooch centering upon a circular-cut Diamond plaque. It is surrounded by an openwork circular-cut, marquise-cut and baguette-cut Diamond surround. It comes with a pendant hoop and a detachable brooch fitting and is mounted in Platinum. It was a gift for Elizabeth Taylor from her then husband Richard Burton. The ornament was auctioned for more than 5 times its estimated cost at $1.1 million last month!
