Elizabeth Taylor's Emeralds and Diamonds Flower Brooch, en tremblant set and mounted in Platinum. The brooch is designed as a spray of variously-shaped Diamonds flower blossoms set with oval-cut Emeralds pistils and petals. The stem is set with baguette-cut Diamonds running at the base of the group of flowers.

The en tremblant setting became popular in Victorian Era lasting about 70 years from 1837 to 1901. The specialty of this setting is - gemstones are placed in such a way that they sway or tremble with the wearer's every move. It is accomplished by using springs underneath the gems that oscillate with every movement. This type of setting requires highly skilled artisans to produce a fine ornament such as Taylor's Brooch. 

The Brooch was auctioned for $1.5 million at the The Collection of Elizabeth Taylor: The Legendary Jewels by Christie's this month. It fetched more than five times its estimated price!
